“Our previous kitchen felt small, dark, and outdated. The original cabinets were updated with rich green paint, an additional pantry cabinet was added where the kitchen table was, and lots of additional storage, built-in A microwave and coffee bar are now included. Removal of the kitchen table allows for increased island size, comfortable seating for the whole family, more prep counter space, and a beverage refrigerator and trash can/recycling area. We were able to include a number of functional details, such as cabinetry. We used stained knotty alder for the island to contrast with the green surrounding cabinetry. Pantry cabinets. With the addition, we were able to expand the space around the new custom ventilation hood and added floating shelves. New brass pendants and wall sconces create lots of character. Geometry by the sink The rustic cement tile backsplash and simple white subway tile around the range oven are other highlights of this unique kitchen.” – Chad Esslinger, Chad Esslinger Design
