In addition to home decor and spooky thrills, there are great deals on fall hiking, baking, and more.
Autumn is my favorite season. Where I live in the United States, fall means crisp air, bright fall foliage, and snuggling up in your favorite hoodie. I won’t even mention the pumpkin latte!
As the leaves start to change and the daylight hours get shorter, my family is getting ready for our favorite fall adventures.
Here are five things I’m looking forward to doing with my family this fall.
1. Creating Halloween Magic
Are you ready to make your space spooky? If your kids are anything like me, you’ve been demanding Halloween decorations for weeks and I’ve been holding back. But guess what? Halloween is coming faster than ghosts. So it’s time to embrace that spirit and head over to Five Below, my kids’ favorite store and Macaroni KID sponsor. I pack adorable fall decorations (my favorite) and more spooky and fun Halloween decorations (my kids’ favorite). The best part? No one will ever suspect that big bucks weren’t spent at Five Below this year, thanks to a spooky lineup of fall and Halloween decorations. We also carry Halloween-themed T-shirts, costumes, candy, and more. Come back soon.

2. Blend in with nature
Autumn in my area, the Northeastern United States, is gorgeous. I love taking my kids out for hikes on local trails during the peak of fall, when the leaves are fiery red and yellow and crunching underfoot. No matter how many times I see the beauty of the changing seasons, I never get tired of it. Would you like to go hiking this fall? We’ve compiled a list of 50 hiking spots in all 50 states. Check our listings to see if there are hiking trails near you.

3. Choose your own fun
Autumn isn’t complete without a visit to your local apple orchard and pumpkin patch. It’s so much fun to pick your own apples and pumpkins. And that’s a great excuse to crisp up this wonderful apple. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream…autumn doesn’t get much better than this.

4. Enjoy autumn events to the fullest
Don’t miss any local fall events! Fall fests and farmers markets are great places to find beautiful fall flowers and delicious seasonal homemade treats like freshly squeezed apple cider and cinnamon donuts. Events like this also give people a chance to liven up their holiday shopping by stocking up on delicious treats like local honey and beef jerky from nearby farms, as well as unique and beautiful handmade crafts from local artisans. I’ll give it to you.
My kids, on the other hand, can’t wait for more spooky fun. I’m going to go to Cedar Point’s HalloWeekends event and surprise them. The park is just a few hours drive from our house. I get tickets through her CertifiKID.com. CertifiKID.com has great deals on fall events at Cedar Point. CertifiKID can also be used as a way to save money at other amusement parks that host Halloween events. Please check the full lineup here.
More fall sales coming soon to CertifiKID. Please check back frequently for updates.

5. Spend a comfortable night at home
Summer is the time when my family goes out, and we always go out. But now schools are back in session, it gets dark earlier, nights are cooler, and we’re spending more time indoors and at home. That means it’s time to dust off your favorite board games, pull out your fall-scented candles, and stock up on hot cocoa.
Make the most of the colorful moments that fall brings. I hope you have a wonderful autumn🍁
